Mission Control 3
Section titled “Mission Control 3”Mission Control 3 is Binho’s app for the Supernova and the Pulsar. It has six tools: I2C, I3C (Supernova), SPI, GPIO, Serial Terminal and Memory Programmer (I2C and SPI EEPROMs). It also includes a simulated Supernova and Pulsar, to try every tool before the hardware arrives. See Mission Control 3 Tools.
It comes in two forms with the same tools:
| Web app | Desktop app | |
|---|---|---|
| Where | mc3.binho.io | binho.io/test-measurement/mission-control-3 |
| Install | None, no sign-up | Installer per platform |
| Platforms | Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Opera (desktop) | Windows x64, macOS (Apple Silicon or Intel), Linux x64 |
| Connects through | The browser’s WebHID (and Web Serial for the Serial Terminal) | USB, directly |
| Updates | Every page load | Built-in updater, see below |
| Current version | Latest on page load | Latest from the download page |
Web App
Section titled “Web App”Open mc3.binho.io in Chrome, Edge or Opera, plug in the adapter and click Pair Device. Firefox and Safari support neither WebHID nor Web Serial: the app opens, but cannot connect to hardware.
Desktop App
Section titled “Desktop App”Download the installer from the Mission Control 3 download page on binho.io:
| Platform | File | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Windows (x64) | .exe | Installs for all users; needs administrator rights. |
| macOS, Apple Silicon | .dmg (arm64) | Drag Mission Control 3 into Applications. |
| macOS, Intel | .dmg (x64) | Drag Mission Control 3 into Applications. |
| Linux (x64) | .AppImage | chmod +x the file, then run it. |
Install steps: Download & Installation.
Updates. The desktop app checks for a new version about 3 seconds after it starts. When one is available, it asks before downloading. Once the download finishes, it offers to restart and install; if declined, the update installs the next time the app quits. To check by hand, open the About dialog and click Check for Updates.
Current Versions
Section titled “Current Versions”| Product | Version | Download | Documentation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supernova and Pulsar firmware | 4.6.1 | Supernova .afx · Pulsar .afx | Updating Firmware · Release notes |
| Mission Control 3 (desktop) | Latest | binho.io | Mission Control 3 |
| PyCosmicSDK (Python) | 1.7.0 | PyPI: pip install pycosmicsdk | Docs · Getting started · Migration |
| CosmicSDK (C, C++) | 1.7.0 | Installers and binaries | Docs · First steps |
PyCosmicSDK runs on Python 3.10 to 3.14, with wheels for Windows x64, macOS on Apple Silicon and Linux x86_64. It replaces the legacy Python packages below; existing scripts can move by changing an import, see Migrating to PyCosmicSDK.
CosmicSDK ships installers for Windows (x64 with MSVC or MinGW, x86 with MSVC) and binaries for Linux (x64, arm64) and macOS (Apple Silicon, Intel).
Legacy Software
Section titled “Legacy Software”These packages still work but get no new features. Use them only for a Binho Nova, or for existing scripts not moved yet.
